Podcasts for research teams

Turn your research into something people will listen to. We work with academics and funded projects, from the proposal to the finished series.

How we help

From application to release

Scoping for your application

We help you describe the podcast as a project output: what it is, what it involves and how long it takes.

Working from your interviews

We build episodes from interviews and fieldwork you've recorded, and help plan any that are still to come.

Care with contributors

We take care over consent and anonymity, and check how people want to be named before anything is released.

Sound that serves the research

Original music and sound design that carry the story without getting in the way of the evidence.

A home for the series

A website with the episodes, a mailing list and proper credit for your funders and partners.

First-time hosts welcome

If you'd rather present it yourself, we coach you through recording and narration.

Questions

Research podcasts: common questions

Can you help us plan a podcast for a funding application?

Yes. Tell us about the project and we'll help you scope the podcast, so the application describes something realistic.

Our recordings were made in the field and the quality varies. Is that a problem?

Usually not. We restore what needs it and design the episodes around the material you have.

Do you only work with universities?

No. We also work with charities, authors and independent hosts. Research projects are one part of what we do.

Got a show in mind?
